Simeon glanced at his friend, trying hard to keep his face straight as he finished pouring the water out of the pail. Of course he couldn't hold back the really small snicker that had wanted so badly to show itself on his lips. Dammit Rhys, you're challenging my image here! He thought, amused. "Don't be silly Rhys, I am enjoying myself, just not at the same level of enjoyment as say..." he peered around and pointed at an excited little girl with pigtails running toward the water to fill her bucket up with water. "Her." He said waving his thumb in her direction.
“I’m not positive… I was thinking we do one of those large ones with a few towers. And maybe a wall around it with towers on each corner? ...Out loud it sounds very... lackluster...”
He looked over at his friend for a moment and saw his disappointment. Looks like he was going to have to come up with something more interesting. He wanted his friend to have a good time and actually appreciate the work that they did. He thought about it for a moment as Rhys got back down in the sand to smooth it out.
“Do you have any ideas? Better yet. You better have some ideas. And improve your attitude. Because if you don’t…” Pause for effect as he stood back up. “I’ll chuck you into the ocean...”
Simeon laughed. Just down right laughed. He just couldn't hold it back. It wasn't loud and obnoxious, but it wasn't exactly quite either, and it was short. The only one who could probably hear it was Rhys, but either way, it wasn't something that happened often.
"Oh gods you would, wouldn't you. You are a terrible person. What if I can't swim?" He laughed again at his rhetorical question and then waved his hand in a sign of carelessness, but it was quite certain that he was no longer in a sour mood. He walked over to the other side of the cleared space and stared at it for a couple moments. Yeah he had an idea. One that... Rhys might actually like. "What if instead of a large squared castle, we do more of a rounded pyramid? So like a stair case path that starts from here at the bottom and swirls around in like a cone shape? Then we can put the tallest tower here at the top maybe with a little flag or something, and have smaller towers all along down the pathway." He traced around the area with his finger as he formed the layout in his head. It could work.
