nineteen - twenty one 「 i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you. 」 + @open + first post \o/ | [attr="class","lobotext"]Connor was far too tall for this child-sized treehouse, but after managing to navigate inside without hitting his head on the ceiling, he sat himself down on the floor and leaned back against the wall with a sigh. The wolf was not a loner by nature, preferring the company of others rather than being alone with nothing but his thoughts, but in this particular instance, he decided that it was best he not trouble the others with his stress. It would be quite unfair, as they all had their own things to worry about. He preferred being there for others rather than having anyone worry about him, after all. As far as he was concerned, he was meant to be the strong one that they could rely on, even if the responsibility probably more heavily relied on Sydney by fate. His brows furrowed at the thought before taking a deep breath to calm his nerves. He'd rather avoid turning into a wolf today, over something so stupid.
So what was the source of his stress? Well, he was still adapting to the change of location. On one hand, it was new and they were at less of a risk of being revealed compared to at home where nearly everyone around them had to have their memories wiped and forcing them to walk on eggshells so they didn't accidentally awaken their memories again and revive the chaos, guilt, and obviously stress. On the other, while this was a whole new world essentially, it was a whole new world, though that didn't mean they were anymore safe. After all, they could move as much as they wanted but that dark cloud was still sure to follow them, the curse forever putting them at risk. At least at their previous location he knew how to navigate fairly well, here he just had to find his footing and relearn tactics to avoid trouble. It didn't help that as a foreigner they kind of stood out, making it even more difficult for them to blend in.
All that said though, he couldn't necessarily disagree with the decision to move. It made sense. He just always had a struggle with adapting to change, having just as much trouble when he was first introduced to the rest of the cursed family. With a bit more time he was sure he'd be able to master things again, but for now it was kind of nice to just be able to let his guard down and enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding forest, even closing his eyes as he slowly but gradually began to calm down, thankfully without having to turn into a wolf first. | © seadra of gs |

Paper doll, come try it on ♥ STEP OUT OF THAT BLACK CHIFFON- - - Here’s a dress of gold and blue, Sure was fun being good to you... Out and about Sydney was just walking around the woods. Nothing to do and just to get away from the stresses of the main house. She needed a moment to breathe. Today was just one of the days, that her position was weighing heavy on her. She let out a sigh. Her hazel eyes looking upon the plant life, and trees. She had to admit it was sure beautiful out here. It definitely had its its own charm this part of Kaibara did. Their old home wasnt as spacious as these grounds were which was why Sydney chose this area to relocate with the help of the rest of the zodiac. Still she worried how this change was affecting the rest of them. She brushed a strand of lose hair behind her ear and looked up for a moment, letting out a long drawn out breath to try and keep herself relaxed. Even though things were bothering her, she still couldnt help but to try and look on the brighter side of things. Looking around she noticed the treehouse, only ever looking at it and not once entering it. Today was the day she would enter it. Why not? She hadnt the chance to see the inside of it and was really curious too. If it was interesting enough she'd bring Connor her to see it. She managed to climb up and manuevered inside but she wasnt paying attention and hit her head on the door frame. A small ow came from her as she tucked down and in rubbing her head. Seeing Connor there was abit of surprise. But made her smile as she sat down beside him and noticed he was seated their with his eyes closes. Maybe he hadnt noticed her? Maybe he did? Who knows but he was probably gonna notice her now as adjusted her position, sitting on his lap playfully and booped his nose with one outstretched finger, " Connor-kun." Her tone was playful and sweet. Than she realized just how close her face was to the young libra's and her whole face turned bright red and she stumbled back off of him by accident and rubbed the back of her own neck nervously and looked over at him. Her heart racing and she trying to get ahold of herself. Mentally the young girl was cursing herself that she was just too focused saying hi and getting his attention, without realizing just how close she actually got. tags: @connor notes: table made by NOKI/STEPH of GS

nineteen - twenty one 「 i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you. 」 + con is confused lol | [attr="class","lobotext"]Connor was so focused on calming down that he hadn't really heard the approach outside, only really aware of someone's presence when even he could practically feel the thump as the culprit hit their head on the door frame, causing his eyes to open and Connor to tilt his head, looking over to the source as she continued her approach and even sat down next to him. Turned out it was Sydney, which of course was a pleasant surprise, but then it turned to concern when he realized she must have hit her head. "Hey... Are you-?"
Well before he could finish his question, she was moving onto his lap and giving his nose a poke, effectively silencing him. Well alright then... He really wasn't sure how to react, his face feeling a bit warm as his brain struggled to catch up and come with a reasonable response. But just as sudden as it had occurred, it ended just as quickly as he caught a glimpse of her looking a bit flushed as she made her retreat, backing down from... whatever that was. He had some ideas, but he didn't want to read too much into it just in case it happened to truly be innocent. Course now he still wasn't too sure what to say. Had she hit her head a little too hard? Well he supposed that was a good way to start, where he'd left off.
"Uh..." he chuckled a bit, still in recovery for that little interaction, but considering she looked embarrassed and he wasn't sure if he should even really bring more attention to it, he decided to change the subject for the sake of not letting the awkward tension remain. "You alright? Sounded like you hit your head on the way in here." While he most certainly wouldn't be able to forget what just happened, he could at least pretend for the sake of helping her calm down. | © seadra of gs |

Paper doll, come try it on ♥ STEP OUT OF THAT BLACK CHIFFON- - - Here’s a dress of gold and blue, Sure was fun being good to you... Sydney's cheeks were flushed as she mentally kept thinking to herself what a stupid move she made. Like why did she think something like that could be just interpreted as playful? She felt like she literally made herself look like an idiot but she had to figure out a way to calm herself down. Hearing his voice asking if she was alright brought her back to reality as she looked at him. Maybe he didnt realize? She didn't know but all she could do was sigh in relief. That was good for her to hear maybe he hadn't noticed it or if he had maybe he thought nothing of it, either or no matter the cause it was helping her heart slow down and not feel like it was gonna beat right out if her chest. She couldn't help but giggle and nod, " Yeah, I'm fine just a but if a bump on the head. No need to worry. " Her voice casual and sounding more relaxed. She adjusted herself, crosslegged and looked at him. It was kinda cute how he always seemed genuinely concerned for her. Of course she couldn't say that out loud but boy did she apperciate it! She rubbed the back of her neck smiling in a cheesy fashion, " So whatcha doing up here, Connor? Exploring like I am? Or? " She tilted her head a small bit in a curious fashion. She sure hoped it was that and that he was okay. Or anything postive. Sydney couldn't help but worry about him quite a bit and always wanted to be sure if he was alright. tags: @connor notes: table made by NOKI/STEPH of GS

nineteen - twenty one 「 i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you. 」 + lets talk about the weather instead | [attr="class","lobotext"]Sydney looked a bit freaked out... Could it be concern that it might be interpreted wrong or perhaps she was worried about showing her true feelings? Or maybe he was simply reading too much into it, far too hopeful that they'd one day be more than friends. Obviously she had far too much on her hands to worry about relationships, right? It would be selfish of him to try to distract her, as much as part of him would really like to. Fortunately his decision to try to let that little act slide seemed to be putting her at ease, which of course still made him curious but the last thing he wanted was to make her uncomfortable. As for her response, he'd nod but of course while there was 'no need' didn't necessarily mean he wouldn't, sure to keep an eye on her and make sure she got out of here without knocking her head a second time. "Right, good," he smiled a bit, willing to take her word for it.
But now the questions were being turned onto him, and of course he tensed up a tad, not only reminded of what he was doing here, but of course reluctant to point it out. Her being there had calmed him down a bit, but of course he couldn't really say that either, or at least he felt like it would be a bit weird. At any rate, he'd answer soon enough, reaching up to brush his hair back with a chuckle. "Just checking this place out. Getting a little too old for tree houses, I know, but they are still cool." Yeah, it wasn't entirely a lie, but obviously not the whole truth either. He just didn't want her worrying. Sure, it'd make him a bit of a hypocrite but he'd far rather worry about everyone else rather than have anyone worry over him. He could handle this on his own, without being a burden on anyone, he was sure of it. Besides, the less trouble he caused anyone, the less likely they'd decide he was too much work and abandon him, after all. While he doubted any of the Bennetts would, Sydney especially, it just wasn't a risk he was willing to take if it could be avoided.
In hopes to change the subject before she could possibly catch him in a lie, he spoke up not long after, "Find any other places around here you'd recommend yet? This place is pretty big. Surprised I haven't gotten turned around yet." he smiled. | © seadra of gs |
