On one hand, he is a showy bird who loves to flaunt his looks in front of the camera. On the other hand, he is quiet and detached, often standing on the sidelines or needing time to himself after a long day surrounded by others. What he shows to the masses is not necessarily him, just the desire for attention to validate himself, no matter how fleeting it may be.[break][break] Jaden is one of the friendliest people you will meet. He cares deeply for those around him, and he has a way of befriending almost anyone he meets on the street. He would do almost anything for another person, regardless of their relation, and this has lead him to being taken advantage of on several occasions. Despite the distrust that built up after so long, Jaden struggles to change his ways, especially in regard to those closest to him.[break][break] You might think Jaden would be oblivious since he can be so easily taken advantage of, but you would be wrong. He is quite intelligent, so much so that he has always been a handful and a half for his parents, nannies, and tutors. He is perceptive, and very little gets past him. It is a matter of whether or not he chooses to act upon what he sees and knows that can get him into trouble. Often, in those rare cases when he does act on it, he will shut himself off. This can make him out to be cold and insensitive depending on the situation, but it is better to protect himself than to be taken advantage of.[break][break] That intelligence of his makes it easy for Jaden to get bored. He constantly needs something to keep him busy, but anything that is too easy is quickly discarded for the next distraction that comes around. This has led him to taking on a wide range of skills, from various instruments and painting to learning calculus by twelve. [attr="class","nodensright1"]SUBJECT BACKGROUND [attr="class","nodensright21"] [attr="class","nodensright22"] Jaden's parents always had high hopes for him. They were a branch of the Bennett family that operated a technological corporation that reached across the globe. It was their hope that he would become their successor, so they planned every last day of his life out before he was even born. Tutors were booked years in advanced, and his mother obsessed over the idea of finally becoming a mother after trying and failing for years prior.[break][break] Alas, when their infant son was delivered on a frigid January morning, they were forced to halt all of their plans. A third of the tutors had to be replaced, and his mother wept when she was told that she would never be able to hold her only son.[break][break] They tried to push forward with their original plans. All tutors and caretakers had to be male, the latter of which was on shorter supply than the former. Jaden's mother went back to work as soon as she could, unwilling to look back at the child she couldn't even touch. His father had to play both roles to his best ability, but even he eventually went back to work, leaving the child in the care of nannies. They were not briefed on why they were given such strange rules, such as not letting any woman or girl touch Jaden or making sure he was not stressed out. This restricted him to the confines of his home, at least until he, himself, could understand his parents' strange rules.[break][break] As he grew, Jaden quickly proved to be trouble. He was a great student when he was interested, but his tutors struggled to keep him interested. He often doodled during lessons or dozed off, only for a pop quiz to show that he had soaked up everything taught (or he had at least read ahead the night before). They eventually stopped trying to keep his attention, figuring he would still somehow pass every test. The few times his tutors mentioned it to his parents, they either told them to increase the difficulty or a new tutor was hired.[break][break] There seemed to be an endless cycle of tutors and never leaving the house growing up. He was eleven when he was finally allowed to leave, accompanied by his father. They visited another manor owned by their extended family, and he was finally allowed to meet some of his cousins, aunts, and uncles. He flinched away when someone tried to reach out to touch him, and he hid behind his father despite being told that specific cousin would not change him.[break][break] From then on, he started accompanying his father to work as a sort of job shadowing. Sitting in the corner of his father's office was not fun, however, and Jaden often escaped to explore the building. He was thirteen when a secretary tapped him on his shoulder while his back was turned. She was promptly sent for her memory to be cleared, and the security footage was wiped.[break][break] At fourteen, Jaden was scouted by a man and woman as he was leaving his parents' company headquarters. They were certainly convincing in all the 'potential' Jaden had and handed him their card. Without asking for permission, he contacted them the next day for androgynous modeling. It was something new, and he was tired of going to work with his father. Why wouldn't he accept?[break][break] His modeling was under the radar (after blackmailing one of his caretakers to act as his 'guardian') for a year or so until a small magazine ended up on his mother's desk. They were furious, but Jaden refused to listen to them. Either they let him continue as he pleased, or he would move out. He was surprised when they let him leave, half expecting them to stop him since he was their only child.[break][break] He found out later that his mother was pregnant, and they would start again with that child.[break][break] Jaden lived with his agent for a few months before he was contacted by a relative asking for him to live with his cousins. He preferred the more lavish lifestyle to his agent's apartment, so he accepted and moved in the next week. He started up his schooling once more, taking online classes instead of worrying about expensive tutors and boring lectures.[break][break] When it was announced that they would be moving to Japan, Jaden got in contact with his agent to make arrangements to move his career overseas before cracking open the Japanese language book that had been gathering dust on his shelf. He had a tutor when he was younger who taught him Japanese and Chinese, but he never thought he would actually use it. Joke's on him.[break][break] Now in Japan, Jaden has decided that he wants to finish his education in an actual school. Too bad high school is far different from tutors and online schooling.
