[break][break] The swan, for all its beauty, is known for their aggression and while Miri doesn't necessarily show a very aggressive side to herself, she is incredibly sly and vindictive. They say there is no wrath like a woman scorned and man oh man does she have a wrath. She's the meticulous sort, the kind to act high and mighty while ultimately planning out a fate for her scorner that quite honestly makes her sanctimonious nature almost feel hypocritical. But so long as she feels its justified, she ignores that fact. She's a tricky woman for sure, and one not to be trifled with. [break][break] On the other hand, she is incredibly family oriented. Her cousins mean the world to her, as does her students. She can be a real mother hen, protective, warm, and loyal to the end if she deems the person worth it. And may no one ever hurt one of her metaphorical chicks. [attr="class","nodensright1"]SUBJECT BACKGROUND [attr="class","nodensright21"] [attr="class","nodensright22"] Mireille was born to be a star, that was what she was always told. A child prodigy when it came to the likes of ballet, she hardly cared that she had this curse holding her back. She liked to think that her parents would understand, that she would propel herself forward one way or another to become a famous ballerina someday. And yet the unfortunate truth was that, no matter how much her mother and father may encourage her to go after her dreams, they would always remain just that: dreams. Day in and day out, she would practice as a child. Her parents hired tutors rather than allowing her to go to a proper school. She didn't seem to be too terribly bothered by that idea. It gave her more time to do as she pleased at first, gave her more time to practice and, as she got older, more time to spend with her younger sister. [break][break] However, as those teenage years rolled in and she started to develop, she began to crave more. She begged and pleaded with her parents to send her to a proper dance class, some place she could practice with real people that held the same passion as her. It took quite a bit of talking and a little bit of bribery but, eventually, they broke down. Miri loved her classes. Surrounded by girls and even guys that seemed to be talented in the art (albeit not as talented as Mireille herself if you asked her) made her absolutely delighted! And the best part, she wasn't necessarily forced to dance with any of the guys in the class. It was going perfectly for at least a few years. [break][break] Up until she scored the Primadonna role in an upcoming performance. She was a little over nineteen at the time and, truthfully, it had been a miracle that she had even made it this far without slipping up. She'd been so careful to keep herself from being hugged or embraced in someway for all those years and suddenly, it all came crashing down. The lead male role was being played by someone she had been slowly falling in love with. Her defenses down, the two practiced late nights. She had thought she was being careful until the night before the big performance. A perfect rehearsal, some extra practice after everyone left for the parts that weren't just right and, soon, a kiss, unravelled the whole thing. The way he reacted tore her to pieces and the family had to get involved. Not only was his memory erased but the memory of the entire class was forced to be tampered with, Miri herself quickly withdrawing from it. [break][break] While she does her best to try and not show it, that moment broke her heart in so many different ways. She spent the next few years obtaining her teaching degree, walking with confidence despite her true feelings. She became more cautious than ever, deciding if she could not become a ballerina, she'd at least become an instructor. Soon after she received her degree, she learned the family was moving. Excitement filled the young woman. This was certainly a chance to start anew, without worry or care. Perhaps she could actually be who she was always meant to be. |
