To those outside the family, he comes across as quiet and aloof, kind of a loner and hard to really approach, especially since he tends to go out of his away to avoid bumping into anyone. However, towards his family he's entirely different... well, maybe not entirely.[break][break] Believe it or not, Connor craves social interactions. He is not a loner by nature and finds solace in being around his family where he feels less at risk of revealing his curse. In fact he'd probably be far more social outside the Bennett's were it not for the curse making it such a hassle. Unfortunately due to a bad experience as a child, he knows better than to risk it and instead goes out of his way to ensure the safety of his family. He is still a bit quiet however, more of a speak when spoken to sort of guy unless he just happens to have something he really needs to get off his chest. It's less out of not wanting to speak or being shy, but rather him just being a listener, and a very good one at that! Connor is someone you can trust when you simply need to vent or even outside of conversation when times might be tough, always levelheaded and ready to tackle challenges head on if it means fighting for someone or something he cares about, loyal to a fault.[break][break] When not feeling as if he has to watch his back constantly, Connor is actually a pretty charming fellow, with a bit of cleverness and wit about him, his sense of humor rather dry but the delivery often elicits amusement. He's also a bit of a hopeless romantic, quite fond of romantic comedies and believing that his soulmate is out there, perhaps not very far either. But you did not hear this from me![break][break] On the other end of the spectrum, however, Connor has a difficulty with trust, having a tendency to not let strangers get too close in fear of what might happen should they discover something they might not like about him. Coupled with some abandonment issues and you can understand why it takes quite a bit for him to warm up to you, and even longer for him to let someone go. He can also be quite aggressive if pushed to the point, though thankfully it takes quite a bit to set him off. It's best to allow him some space to cool off when he does lose his temper, or risk him possibly lashing out at you should he start to feel backed into a corner. [attr="class","nodensright1"]SUBJECT BACKGROUND [attr="class","nodensright21"] [attr="class","nodensright22"] Bad luck seemed to follow all of the cursed Bennetts, so why should he be any different? Connor was born into a single parent situation, his father never being a figure in his life, undoubtedly not wanting to raise a child when he was still just a teen himself, but needless to say he'd dodged a bullet when his girlfriend ended up giving birth to a monster. In her defense, she had genuinely tried to love him at first, protective and certain she could handle this and love him unconditionally as a mother should, right? Though as time passed and more complications arose from raising a wolf, she honestly couldn't get rid of him fast enough, the stress having built up far too much for her to handle. It was for his own good, she'd swear, but while she had the benefit of having her memories erased, the boy had to come to terms with being abandoned, and it was an experience that would ingrain deep into his soul.[break][break] He found kinship in the others who were cursed, with them having to endure similar heartbreaks and able to understand him better than anyone else really could given their shared circumstances. While he lost his mother, he obtained a whole new family who could support him unconditionally, and in return (and perhaps just to ensure he never loses them) he has dedicated himself to protecting them, no matter what it takes. A task that might have become a bit more tricky given their move to Japan, a whole new world for him essentially. While he's a bit wary, he'll follow the Lion wherever she may lead.
